Culinary Creation: Jianbing
As part of my business, I launched a line of freshly made 'jianbing' at market. These Chinese-style crepes became a stalwart of my front-facing product line - inviting new customers in with our crepe making show and offering a new hot menu item once I was permitted to once again serve hot food after the pandemic.
My jianbing were both traditional and unconventional. I paid homage to traditional Chinese flavors with my original variety, and also experimented with flavors I personally adore, including a American Breakfast Style jianbing and a Jamacian Jerk Chicken Style jianbing.

Business Plan Writing
I collaborate with small business owners and professionals to navigate the complexities of Washington, DC’s business landscape. Specializing in business planning and strategy, targeted marketing, and crafting compelling resumes and cover letters, I help clients refine their brand identity and develop clear roadmaps for success. My goal is to empower individuals and businesses to stand out and thrive in competitive markets.

I've collaborated with multiple designers to craft a vibrant, globally inspired brand for my company, Mapp’d. Rooted in my culinary journey, my branding choices evoke a sense of adventure, nostalgia, and discovery—inviting customers to explore diverse flavors and cultures. Through bold colors, dynamic visuals, and thoughtful storytelling, I have created a warm, welcoming experience that sparks curiosity and connection.

Technical and Appeals Writing
I have a strong background in technical and appeals writing, crafting compelling narratives to drive engagement and impact. As Campaign Manager for Individual Giving at Salzburg Global, I managed the donor pipeline for contributions up to $100,000, conceptualizing and authoring numerous appeals that highlighted the institution’s legacy, the transformative power of donor support, and its impact on fellows. I also developed copy for the organization’s capital campaign website, shaping its messaging to inspire giving.
My expertise extends to technical research and analysis, having supported MSI’s efforts to counter violent extremism through USAID initiatives. My academic research is equally distinguished—my thesis on media’s role in genocides and violent conflicts earned the highest honors. Additionally, my firsthand investigation into the role of civil society in Samoa was selected for publication in the School for International Training’s online database, recognizing me as a top scholar in my class. My ability to translate complex ideas into compelling, research-backed narratives makes me a skilled writer across technical and donor-focused communications.

Event Management
I bring extensive experience in event management, overseeing everything from concept development to seamless execution. As Campaign Manager for Individual Giving at Salzburg Global, I managed logistics, invitations, speaker coordination, catering, and day-of operations, ensuring high-impact gatherings for global stakeholders. In my work with MSI, I supported USAID’s Democracy and Governance workshops, handling event logistics to facilitate impactful discussions on global development.
Through my company, Mapp’d, I curated immersive culinary events, managing every detail—from menu design to social media promotion—to create engaging, memorable experiences. My expertise spans strategic planning, audience engagement, and flawless execution, making me a versatile and detail-oriented event leader.

Food Photography
With a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for culinary aesthetics, I bring dishes to life through vibrant yet simple photography. My work emphasizes texture, color, and composition to evoke taste and emotion. My photography has been featured on my business’s website as well as in printed materials, including brochures, flyers, signs, and posters.
Mapp'd Cooking Club
Mapp’d Cooking Club offered members a monthly culinary journey, exploring unique dishes from a variety of global cuisines. Through interactive online sessions, my teammate Katie and I guided guests step by step in preparing a full meal from start to finish. To ensure the highest quality ingredients while supporting local farmers and vendors, we sourced fresh, seasonal produce from our favorite farmers' markets and delivered curated ingredient crates straight to our guests’ doors. This branch of my business flourished during the COVID pandemic, bringing people together through cooking, even from a distance.
Culinary Creation: Ready-To-Cook Noodle Meals
I created a noodle line featuring Asian-inspired noodle dishes that became a staple at my farmers' market stand every weekend. Customers loved how easy it was—just follow a simple set of instructions, and they could enjoy a flavor-packed noodle meal any day of the week!
Culinary Creation: Globally Inspired Soups
A rotating selection of soups were a wildly popular menu item at the Mapp'd farmers market stand. I have also worked on soup label packaging design for other food businesses.
Culinary Creation: Catering
Catering both large and small events have remained a critical part of my culinary journey. I have catered interactive intimate dinners, corporate events, birthday parties, and weddings.
Culinary Creation: Heat and Serve Packaged Meals
I created a line of fully cooked meals, sold fresh at my 8 farmers' market locations. These meals were complex and included a primary protein, starch or vegetable, plus any additional accoutrements needed to round out the meal. These meals were the backbone of my business, particularly during the peak of the COVID_19 pandemic, whereby all food needed to be reheated at home.
